THE COMPANY
The company is based in Gottlieben, Switzerland and owned by Gerhard Arminger and Franz Köpper. Both owners have a wide ranging experience in the theory and application of statistics, data mining, machine learning and forecasting techniques.
Contrary to popular belief, there are no general statistical, machine learning or AI techniques that fit every possible application in many branches. Good application of the general forecasting techniques requires careful analysis of the underlying business processes.
Based on such analysis, CFG provides general automated forecasting and optimization tools for the specific problem at hand.
PROF. DR. GERHARD ARMINGER
Gerhard Arminger served as professor of statistics at the Schumpeter School of Business Administration, University of Wuppertal, from 1978 to 2014 focusing on multivariate statistics, econometrics and automated forecasting of complex time series. He was cofounder and chief scientist of SAF AG, Tägerwilen for automated forecasting and replenishment in retail 1999 – 2009. He is business consultant for Data Science, Machine Learning and AI.
DR. FRANZ KÖPPER
Franz Köpper obtained his Ph.D. in economics and statistics from the University of Wuppertal in 1986. He was founder and CEO of SLI Consulting AG, Frauenfeld (1991 – 1999) and cofounder of SAF. He served as President of NEON, New Era of Networks, Denver, Co, from 1999 – 2002. He is business consultant for Big Data Analysis and Data Mining.
